Over the years we have become more and more involved in the swimming pool industry – pool heating, jacuzzis, filtration systems, fibrelining, chlorination, the whole bang shoot. Having said that, we still do irrigation systems, water tanks, borehole pumps and motors, koi pond filtration systems... basically anything to do with water.

pool installation

We supply and install fibreglass pools which are manufactured using top quality, environmentally friendly products, backed by a structural guarantee.

– We have a wide range of options to meet individual requirements, with pools varying in size from 2 – 10m.

– Our pools are manufactured in a factory using state of the art equipment, and a range of resin products containing recycled PET plastics, thereby reducing the impact on the environment.

– Pools are professionally installed by our

experienced crew.

Superior Spa are market leaders and have been manufacturing spas for almost 40 years. These spas have many unique features and justifiably go by the motto ‘SA’s Best Spa By Far!’.

– All spas are fully self-contained – mounted on a galvanised steel frame with wooden surrounds which conceal the filtration system.

– The silent heating system eliminates noise and disturbance whilst the unit is heating, and also reduces heating costs.

– Ozone generators or UV sterilisers can be fitted to kill bacteria and reduce chemical usage. Top skimming filtration can also be fitted to remove dead skin cells and to provide a more hygenic spa experience.

pool filtration

Every pool needs a filtration system, big or small,

we do them all. Be it a commercial pool or a domestic cuddle puddle, we design a filtration system to meet the requirements at hand.

Pumps and filters are correctly sized for the application, and salt chlorinators or chlorine dosers can be installed to ensure sanitization of pool water.

Boreholes

Boreholes have become more prevalent, & in consultation with expert drillers, we actively seek out the sweet spot for the best chance of a strong & steady supply.

Pumps and motors are site specific depending on depth and yield, and bring water to surface and into holding tanks. Booster pumps are installed to pump water from tanks and into the house as required, and filtration and purification systems based on water tests installed to ensure safe, hygienic water.

koi pond filtration

Don’t be deceived by their beautiful colours. Koi are actually “dirty” fish, and no amount of maintenance will help if your filtration system is inadequate. Allow us to design a filtration system tailor made to meet your requirements.

water storage

Every drop counts, and water, being the precious resource that it is, cannot be wasted. Your water is stored in our bladder tanks whilst work is in progress, and will be pumped back into your pool on completion of the project. With our tanks ranging in size from 20 000 – 40 000 litres, we have the capacity to store all your water and more.

True to life, one cannot simply paper over the cracks!

Whether structural or superficial, cracks require attention to prevent further damage…. and we love attention. To detail, that is.

Steel staples and specialized epoxies are used in Gunite pools to stabilize the area and reduce the potential for future movement and cracking, and in fibreglass pools our expert crew can cut, seal and refibreglass as required.

Where necessary, expansion joints are cut around the perimeter of the pool, and filled with a flexible sealant.

This acts as a buffer and helps to prevent cracking in the fight of expansion/contraction between the pool and its surrounds.

fibrelining

Our highly experienced team specialise in fibrelining, and we use only the finest gelcoats and resins in the industry.

New pools, existing pools ….. we do it all. We repair cracks in Fibreglass Shells, and Reflowcoat Pools which have lost their lustre and look a little tired – a new coating of gelcoat will provide a facelift and give your pool a new lease on life.

ADVANTAGES OF FIBRELINING

The smooth surface makes it easier to keep the pool clean, thereby reducing maintenance costs and time. Fibrelining creates an insulating layer which produces a warmer pool. Water chemistry is easier to maintain. Because of the neutral composition of fibreglass, pool water is less subject to chemical fluctuations than in a Gunite or Marbelite pool. No more cut feet.

The extended drought has resulted in the installation of many more water tanks than ever before. We are experts in tank installation and will harvest rainwater from your roof to fill up your tanks. Tank water can be plumbed into the house or used in the garden resulting in a reduced load on our municipal supply.

pool covers

We offer several different types of pool covers, depending on what is required – safety, heat retention or reduced evaporation.

The BATON COVER incorporates a series of aluminium batons that rest on either side of the coping. Stainless steel ratchets are used to tighten the cover to give it strength and rigidity. This cover conforms to international safety standards, and is accepted in terms of the National Building Regulations and SANS 10134.

The MPI SOLID POOL COVER is a perfect solution to winterize your pool, reduce chemical consumption, evaporation and pump running costs.

SOLAR BLANKETS – Although solar blankets cannot be used for safety, they are very effective for heat retention and reducing evaporation. They can be attached to a roll up station to facilitate rolling out.

400 MICRON THERMAL GEOBUBBLE will increase the temperature of your water by 3 – 6°C, and will reduce chemical consumption and evaporation.

500 MICRON SOL + GUARD GEOBUBBLE will harness free energy from the sun and transfer this heat to the pool. It maximises solar energy gain and will increase the temperature of pool water by up to 8°C.

500 MICRON ENERGY GUARD GEOBUBBLE is dark in colour and inhibits light penetration which in turn reduces algae growth. This allows for reduced filtration time and considerable savings in electricity costs

pool heating

There are 2 methods to heat a pool:

SOLAR HEATING

We have been supplying and installing the Sun Command range of solar panels for over 25 years. They are are a tried and trusted energy efficient method of heating your pool and will allow you to increase your swimming season for up to 9 months of the year. The panels collect and transfer irradiated heat from the sun to your pool water resulting of a temperature gain of up to 12°C. Panels are most efficient when installed on a north facing roof and when used in conjunction with a solar blanket for heat retention.

HEAT EXCHANGERS

We supply and install domestic and commercial sized heat exchangers, and will correctly size your heater to meet your individual requirements.
